If the battery on your Fossil watch has died, use this Fossil watch battery replacement guide to repair it. Fossil watches are made pressure sealed, which makes battery replacement is a little difficult if not done with proper care. Fossil highly recommends that you send them your fossil watch for battery replacement simply because special tools are used to replace the battery. However this will cost you around $17, because battery replacement isn’t included in their eleven year warranty from the date of purchase. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean you have to get special tools to replace your fossil watch battery, because the things you need may just be inside your toolbox.
You will need:. Small flat head screwdriver.
Handkerchief (Or any piece of soft plain cloth). Battery.
Before doing anything to your fossil watch, make sure that you’re working in a well lit place on a clean and dry surface. Spread your handkerchief on the surface that will serve as your workplace. Check the back of the watch. Find the slots where you will insert one corner of the screwdriver to rotate the back plate counter clockwise. Once the back plate is removed, remove the nylon cover.
Use the screw driver to pry the nylon cover up. With the use of the screw driver again, press the spring carefully until the battery holder is released. Replace the battery.
To seal the fossil watch again, repeat these steps backwards. For Twist battery replacement, follow the first step then remove the movement stem. Use the screwdriver again to remove the screws of the movement.
This is for ME1019 and ME1020. Carefully remove the small second hand at nine.
There’s no need to remove the other hands. Remove the VX3NE movement. This is done along with the dial from MD005/VX3NE movement combined. Lift the old battery out from the bottom of VX3NE movement. Replace it with the new battery.
Put the movements back together again. Place VX3NE movement onto the MD005/-VX3NE movement carefully.
Place the small second hand at nine again. Screw the fix movement to finish replacing the battery. Tips/warnings:. Most fossil models use quartz batteries, but if you are not sure, check what kind of battery your fossil watch uses.
Be extra careful when handling the screw driver, because it may leave a few scratches on the fossil watch.

As far as trading/selling goes, to be honest, I am rather new here. I've lurked a bit over the last year or so, but this is my first post in this subreddit. For whatever it's worth, I've amassed a whole whopping five positive feedback over on.
Note: Most of the knives below are shown without clips. What can I say, I'm a clipless kind of guy. Unless you specify that you would rather have them left off (still included) or installed in a different position, factory clips will be reinstalled to the default position prior to shipment. Loctite is available at request, but may delay shipping for up to a day to ensure that it cures properly. Note #2: I try (sometimes to my detriment) to be as descriptive as humanly possible with regards to condition, and that can sometimes make things sound worse than they really are. If you have any questions at all regarding condition, please don't hesitate to ask.
Additional photos available upon request. ConUS preferred. Prices reflect shipped cost of one knife.
Unless otherwise noted, take off $5 for each additional.knife. purchased. As of this moment, I am really only looking for cash, though I might just entertain offers of japanese-style gyoto kitchen knives, 240-270mm in non-stainless steels.
Oddly specific, I know. Err, I know this is a longshot, but I'll just put it out there. I am also interested in a Hinderer Flashpoint, stonewashed or blasted (no pattern.) Folders and Fixed:. C+ Kershaw Blur 1670TBLKST - $45. Take an additional $5 off ($10 total) when purchased alongside another knife, or two non-knife items. I am NOT the original owner of this item. It came to me looking factory fresh, but I was given no history for the thing.
There is are a couple of small flecks missing from the blade coating along the jimping. The edge has been thinned out a bit from a freehand reprofiling, which was also the cause of the light scuffing at the top of the primary grind.
This knife has been completely dissembled. C Benchmade 940 - $100 SOLD I am NOT the original owner of this item. The scales are in rather immaculate condition; only 2-3 very minor scuff marks on it, visible only upon thorough inspection. That said, it arrived with a rather nasty recurve indicative of someone going to town on the thing with carbide sharpeners.
I've taken a majority of it out on my Lansky, though I wasn't too OCD about it. I just did what made sense to (read: still a slight, unnoticeable recurve.) The blade shows a good amount of marking from what I assume was what the previous owner used to sharpen it with. Also, for some reason, the action isn't super consistent when the pivot is loosened enough to be flicked open. Sometimes it will fly open like a rocket, other times it will act a little stiff and have to be opened manually the whole way.
I've never been a fan of flicking knives open, so it never bothered me much. But I figured I should put that out there. This knife has been completely dissembled. B Benchmade 32 Mini-Morpho - $140 SOLD I am the original owner of this item. Lightly flipped with a taped blade.
I mean lightly! Probably less than 20 minutes total, dropped twice from less than 2' onto shag carpeting.
An extremely faint circle (factory blemish?) can be seen just up from the butterfly logo. I can't recall for certain, but I may have taken the male side of the pivots out for loctite (blue 242) at one point.

This knife comes with it's original retail packaging. B Benchmade 440 Opportunist - $105 I am the original owner of this item. Great little gentleman's folder; extremely lightweight and great action.
Why Benchmade doesn't use the adjustable stop pin (allowing you to set your own point of lockup) is beyond me. Easily one of the best features in their line-up. Extremely light scuffing of the aluminum body, as well as laughably minor scratching on the primary grind. This knife has been completely dissembled.
This knife comes with it's original retail packaging. B+ RAT Izula - $45 SOLD I am the original owner of this item. This is a pre-ESEE Izula. Like-new, has never cut a thing (okay, maybe a scrap of paper or two.) Will come wrapped with gutted paracord. C+ Fiddleback 3-Finger Karda (custom) - $110 I am the original owner of this item. Convexed 0-1 blade, 3' BL, 6.5' OL. Black canvas micarta with brown canvas liner and brown canvas pins.
Has a few scuff marks on both the blade and handle from the kydex sheath. Has a well-developed natural patina from use in the kitchen, and as an EDC. C+ Bark River Pro-Scalpel II - $80 I am the original owner of this item. This model is hard to come! Convexed 52-100 blade, 3' BL, 6.5' OL. Black canvas micarta.

Comes with it's factory leather sheath, which has been modified to remove the belt loop and had a hole drilled in it for tip-down neck carry; works great for pocket carry as well. The sheath has also been pressed to be more form fitting. Has a well-developed natural patina from use in the kitchen, and as an EDC. C Bark River Fox River - $135 Please read this one carefully!
I am the original owner of this item. Convexed A-2 blade, 4 5/8' BL, 8 3/4' OL. Tan burlap, black liners, hollow pins. See below for optional matching firesteel at a hefty discount. Comes with factory leather sheath, which has been modified to remove the firesteel loop and pressed to be more form-fitting. Also comes with custom kydex with belt loop.
This knife has been modified substantially! I have added a sharpening choil, and have ground off the lanyard bar. Though I cleaned it up a bit, there is still considerable scratching on the pommel from the lanyard bar removal. Blade has light scuffing from the kydex sheath. Has a well-developed natural patina from use in the kitchen, as an EDC, and field use. Non-Knife Stuff: Note: to keep with the spirit of this subreddit, I would ask that items here be included with a knife purchase (or at the very least, not purchased individually.) Prices shown reflect actual shipped price when added to a knife purchase, though I suppose I might can work something out if some of these remain unsold.
B Hinderer Extreme Duty (black) - $60 One minor ding, and one minor scuff mark on the body of the pen. The head of this pen has some scratches and minor gouging from a loctite removal incedent. As bad as it might look in the picture, I assure you it is completely smooth. I can't even feel it with my fingernail. Comes with ink and 'aftermarket' (read: hardware store) o-rings to keep the cap secure in both positions. A (tobacco brown) - $30 SOLD Package has been opened, but product is brand new (and smells amazing.).
A (ACU Digicam) - $15 $12 with a knife purchase. (left) Brand new, never used. Premium ACU digicam discontinued by Maxpedition?. B+ (ACU digicam) - $15 $12 with a knife purchase. (right) Used for a couple of days, but is in otherwise like-new condition.
Great for 'clamshell' and thin non-smartphones. Premium ACU digicam discontinued by Maxpedition?. B+ Maxpedition promo wallet + Relic front pocket wallet - $15 $10 w/ a knife purchase.
Both are brand new, never used. Fits the likes of a Leatherman Wave like a glove. B+ Bark River Firesteel - $25.$5 if purchased alongside the matching Bark River Fox River. Like new, unused and uncarried.
Tan burlap, black liner, hollow pin. $20 w/o tin or with a knife purchase. Worn for about a week. Battery is long dead, and there is a very, very, very slight clouding on the inside of the glass (only really noticeable with a flashlight shined on it from crazy angles; looks crystal clear in daylight.) Because it has not been tested with new batteries, it will be sold as-is. If, for some reason, it ends up DOA, I will accept a return at buyer's expense for shipping. That's a good question. One that I honestly hadn't given much thought, as it relates to this post anyway.
As hinted at in my opener, I haven't done a whole heck of a lot online trading when it comes to knives and gear (maybe 12-15 deals over the last 5-6 years, total.) What little I have done has always been fairly easy to pull off with the whole ConUS only thing. Beyond that, I've just never really looked into it all that well. From what I recall of my days on Bladeforums, the flat rate USPS boxes seemed to cost upwards of 3x just to get to Canada. But times may have changed that.
If I were to adjust the shipping price to reflect that, I don't think it would make sense to buy a fair few of these offerings, and eating the cost on my end would make me hesitant to still want to get rid of them.that, and I've heard a couple horror stories regarding customs seizures of folders on their way into Canada. Though, apparently it's not an issue if you crank down the pivot crazy hard?
They don't need to be screwed down more than anyone would carry their knife normally. IF it is opened (and I have had one out of 10+ trades opened), they might test of they can flick it out, or if it has an auto button. Either way, I have never heard of any knives being rejected at the border. To use my last trade with a friend in Florida, who sent me a total of three knives (keep weight in mind), he spent $10 on shipping. So take from that what you will.
I think a lot of dudes just automatically put 'CONUS only' because thats what they have seen and just assume the worst about international shipping. I'm not trying to giving you a hard time, its just that a lot of Canadian traders get the shit end of the stick for really, no reason.
Plus that 'CONUS only' deters a lot of people in the first place. If I want something bad enough, I message anyways. Oh, for sure. I wouldn't imagine every package is so heavily scrutinized, and to such a ridiculous standard. I just recall seeing a handful of posts over the years at Bladeforums where customs had messed up a deal or two, and that it was highly recommended to crank down the pivot, as there are (or at least were; been a while since I last brought myself up to date on all that) some customs officials who would go above and beyond to see if they could make knives release from their detent. Not something that I would be all too concerned about, for sure.
I'm rather surprised by the price, though. Do you recall if he used USPS?
If so, maybe the flat-rate boxes just aren't the way to go. Or perhaps prices have come down since last I looked. Either way, that's something I will certainly be looking into.
